Below are some common questions to help get you started. Download this information here.
Secured Tech will work with your district for the best possible replacement solution. (payment, credit, replacement device for Chromebooks/Windows devices (if available)).
Your district will be asked to choose your first preference and if it is a replacement device (not available for Apple devices), then they will be asked for second preference in the case a replacement device is not available.
A Check/Credit would be provided by the 15th of the month following when you had an unrepairable device.
(i.e. If device fails January 22nd, credit/check would be issued by February 15th)
Credits could be used to purchase anything Secured Tech offers.
An E-mail will be sent regarding an unrepairable device and if check/credit is given for the device, Secured Tech will ask for the replacement serial number from the school at this time.
Similar things- Unrepairable means Secured Tech cannot fix the device, BER (Beyond Economical Repair) means it would cost too much to repair the device.
* ALL devices need to be removed from your school’s MDM (Mobile Device Management).
- Chromebooks would need removed/replaced in Google Admin console so school could maintain their license.
- Apple devices would need removed from the schools Apple School Manager account.
- Windows devices would need removed from schools management system for those devices if they are using one.
Water damage devices are not repaired as often times a repair may function fine at the time of the repair, but generally will fail down the road.
This helps eliminate the frustration of a sporadically failing device for your school.
